Refund Policy

Last updated 25 October 2026

Akademya has two kinds of payments: the plan a community owner pays Akademya for, and the subscriptions members pay to join a paid community. They have different refund rules, because they have different sellers.

Akademya plans (Hobby and Pro)

  • Each community has its own plan. Free costs nothing and needs no card, so there is nothing to refund. Hobby is $9 a month or $81 a year, and Pro is $99 a month or $891 a year, per community, in US dollars, sold by Arneil Arenal and billed through Whop, our payment provider. They are charged at checkout: there is no free trial. A plan bought before 21 October 2026 keeps its price until it ends.
  • A trial that started before 21 October 2026 runs to its end as its checkout said: cancel before it ends and nothing is charged; a charge after it ended is a normal payment under the rules on this page.
  • You can cancel a plan at any time from the community's settings or your Whop account, signed in with the email you paid with. Cancelling stops the next charge. The plan stays active until the end of the period (month or year) you already paid for. When it ends: A community of 20 members or fewer moves to Free, if it would be your only Free community: it keeps taking new members up to 20 and stays on Discover. A bigger one keeps its members but takes no new ones, and isn't listed on Discover, until you restart a plan in its settings.
  • Moving a community from a monthly Hobby to Pro cancels its Hobby subscription as soon as Pro is active, and deleting a community cancels its plan; in both cases the payment already made for the current period is not refunded.
  • A yearly Hobby moving to Pro, and a Pro switching between monthly and yearly, change when the period already paid for ends: nothing of it is lost and nothing is charged twice. Nothing is charged for the new plan until that day, and you can undo the change in the community's settings before then.
  • Moving a community from Pro to Hobby asks Whop to end Pro at the close of the period already paid for. If Whop ends it sooner, the settings page says so at once, and you can write to us about the unused days.
  • We do not refund part of a month or year, or a period you did not use, unless the law where you live requires it.
  • If you were charged by mistake, for example twice for the same month, write to support@verixdigital.com and we will look into it. Any refund we agree to is returned through Whop to the payment method you used.

Paying to join a community

  • When you pay to join a community, or buy one of its courses, you are buying from that community owner, not from Akademya. The payment goes to the owner through Whop, and the owner is the seller.
  • You pay in the money the community owner sets, US dollars or Philippine pesos, as shown on the community’s page and its Join button.
  • Refunds, and disputes about what a community offers, are between you and the community owner. Ask the owner first. Akademya does not refund payments made to a community owner.
  • If you leave a paid community, your subscription is cancelled at the end of the period you already paid for. If you are removed or banned, or the owner deletes the community, it is cancelled straight away. In neither case is a refund automatic: that is the owner’s decision.
  • A one-time payment (to join a community, or for one course) does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel. If you leave and come back, your access returns with no new charge. If you are removed or banned, or the owner deletes the community or the course, or removes your access to the course (for example after refunding you), your access ends. A refund is the owner’s decision. If a one-time payment is refunded in full, the access it paid for ends by itself, and joining or buying again is a new payment.
  • Every payment you made to communities and courses, with its receipt, is in Account settings, under Billing.

Your rights

Nothing in this policy takes away any refund right you have under the consumer law where you live. The rest of how Akademya works is in our Terms of Service.
